Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 September 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using AlertAnt ("alertant.com", the "Service") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms and will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service.

2. Description of Service

AlertAnt monitors publicly accessible resources that you nominate and notifies you when they change or meet a condition you set. You choose what is watched, how often it is checked, and what counts as a change worth telling you about.

3. Accounts

You need an account to use the Service. You are responsible for the security of your account, for your API keys, and for everything done through them. API keys and MCP credentials are personal to your account and must not be shared or resold. Tell us at [email protected] if you believe a key has been exposed, and rotate it from your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Paid access is offered on a monthly subscription. Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Creem ("creem.io"), who handles billing, sales tax and payment processing on our behalf. By subscribing you also agree to Creem's terms of service as the merchant of record.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and your alerts stop being checked when the subscription ends. We keep your alerts so that resubscribing restores them.

5. Refunds

If you are not satisfied with the Service you may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase by contacting [email protected]. Refunds are not available for renewal charges. We reserve the right to deny refund requests in cases of abuse.

6. What You May Monitor

You are responsible for what you ask the Service to watch. By creating an alert you confirm that you have the right to access the resource in question, and that monitoring it does not breach that resource's own terms of service, its robots.txt, any applicable law, or anyone's rights.

You must not use the Service to:

  • Access anything you are not authorised to access
  • Circumvent access controls, rate limits, paywalls or anti-automation measures
  • Monitor a resource in a way that degrades it or denies service to others
  • Track or profile an individual without a lawful basis
  • Collect personal data in breach of applicable data protection law
  • Resell, redistribute or sublicense access to the Service

We may refuse, pause or remove any alert at our discretion, including where a target asks us to stop, where monitoring appears to breach this section, or where a target cannot be checked without excessive load. We are not obliged to monitor any particular resource.

7. Fair Use

Checks made on your behalf consume our resources and place load on the resources you nominate. Check frequency has a minimum interval and plans have limits on the number of active alerts. We may apply rate limits, and may throttle or suspend accounts whose usage is excessive or degrades the Service for others.

8. MCP Server and API

Subscribers may access the Service through our MCP server, for use with AI assistants such as Claude, and through our REST API where the plan includes it. Credentials are personal to your account. Rate limits apply, and excessive or abusive usage may result in throttling or suspension.

Where an AI assistant creates alerts on your behalf, those alerts are yours and these terms apply to them in full.

9. No Guarantee of Delivery or Accuracy

This section matters, so please read it. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that any alert will fire, that a notification will be delivered, or that it will be delivered within any particular time. Checks depend on the availability and behaviour of resources we do not control, on third-party networks and on delivery of the notification itself, any of which can fail or be delayed. A monitored page may change in a way our checks do not detect, or report a value that is wrong at source.

You must not rely on the Service where a missed or late notification could cause harm, loss, or a safety, medical, legal or financial consequence you are not prepared to accept. The Service is not a substitute for the official channels of whatever you are watching, and it is not monitoring for life-safety or emergency purposes.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design and content, belongs to us. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your subscription is active. The configuration of your alerts and anything you supply remains yours.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. This includes any loss caused by an alert that did not fire, fired late, or reported something inaccurate.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if your usage harms the Service or a third party, or if we are required to do so by law. On termination your right to use the Service ends immediately.

13. Changes to Terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or through the Service. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
